This policy explains what personal information NACOS Exchange collects, why we need it, who we share it with and what rights you have. It applies to everyone who uses our website or apps, including Shippers, Brokers, Transporters and Drivers.
1. Who we are
1.1 NACOS Exchange is operated by New Advanced Courier Services (BN 3119176), Plot F14, Karu Site, Abuja, FCT. We decide how your personal data is used, which makes us the data controller under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

2. What we collect
From everyone: your name, phone number, email address, account login details, and messages you send us.
From Shippers and Brokers: pickup and delivery addresses, receiver names and phone numbers, Load descriptions and values, and business registration details for business accounts.
From Drivers and Transporters: NIN, BVN, driver's licence, a photo of you, vehicle papers and insurance, guarantor details, and business registration details for Transporters.
Payment details: bank or mobile money details for payouts, and a record of payments and wallet activity. Card payments are handled by Paystack and Flutterwave. We never see or store your full card number.
Location: for Drivers, your location while you are online and during every Job. For Shippers, your device location only if you allow it, to help fill in addresses.
Job records: delivery codes, delivery photos, ratings, cancellations, complaints and dispute notes.
Device and usage data: device type, app version, IP address and how you use the app, collected through cookies and similar tools, as explained in our Cookie Policy.
Background checks: for Drivers, the results of identity and background checks, which may include criminal record checks where the law allows.
Calls: if you call our support line, we may record the call for training and to help settle disputes. We will tell you at the start of the call.
3. Why we use it

4. Who we share it with
4.1 Other users on a Job. Shippers see the Driver's name, photo, phone number, vehicle details and live location. Drivers see the Shipper's and receiver's names, phone numbers and addresses. This is shared only for the Job in progress.
4.2 Service providers who work for us, including payment providers (Paystack and Flutterwave), identity check providers, SMS and hosting providers, and our insurance partner Octamile and its insurer for NACOS Protect claims. They may only use your data to provide their service to us.
4.3 Authorities such as the police, courts or regulators, where the law requires it, to prevent fraud or money laundering, or to protect someone's safety.
4.4 A new owner of the Platform, such as SIMA Express Courier & Logistics Services Limited, if the business is transferred. This policy will continue to protect your data.
4.5 We do not sell your personal data.
5. Data stored outside Nigeria
Some of our providers store data on servers outside Nigeria. Where this happens, we make sure the transfer meets the requirements of the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, such as using providers in countries with adequate protection or agreeing proper safeguards in contracts.
6. How long we keep it

After these periods we delete the data or make it anonymous.
7. Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date
- delete your data, where we no longer need it or have no legal reason to keep it
- stop or limit how we use it in some cases
- send your data to you or another provider in a common format
- stop using it for marketing, or withdraw any consent you have given
Email support@nacos.ng or use the request form in the app. We will reply within 30 days. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
8. Keeping your data safe
We use encryption, access controls and secure hosting to protect your data, and only staff who need it can see it. If a data breach puts your rights at risk, we will tell you and the NDPC as the law requires.
9. Children
NACOS Exchange is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes to this policy
We will tell you in the app or by email before any important change takes effect.
